44. Sea of drawings

Healing up, taking forever so sometimes I try and draw. I have no photoshop, no scanner so quality can be soso. Let's start with those done last night.

Random girl 01, was trying out necks and hair.

Random girl 02, trying out the same thing. I find connecting the head with the neck can be quite difficult.

Aeris from Final Fantasy VII, the absolute best.

Maeva, the princess who barely changes. Done with purple col-erase pencil. I really like this one.

Woman based on another drawing on the net. Hate the feet but what can ya do. Top part is the best.

Now for older drawings. Tifa from Final Fantasy VII, even though I hate her with a passion.

40. Skin practice

I have been off of work for a couple weeks now due to illness. It is quite hard to find motivation to do productive things but I do treasure the times when I actually can.

This particular time, I really wanted to practice skin shading. I have many weaknesses in digital art but this one is ranked quite high. I had found a nice picture of skin color swatches ( credit ) and took forever to do a face just to practice on xD!

This was supposed to be the end:

But I decided to improvise hair and lighten up the lines:

I couldn't be more happy :)!

13. Magic number

13 is my favorite number :D Birthday and all. I received an awesome fanart of Mimosa, my mermaid, from a friend at work and was so happy ^o^! Left it at work because I didn't want to rip it, yet all my big books are in boxes so I cant drag one at work to protect it....anyways I shall find a way.

Maybe I'll get more fanart :D! But to receive more, I'd probably need to draw some more references. And people would have to be willing to draw her..or I can do art trades or something >:D!!!

So let's continue with a random lady instead :D! ....wasn't inspired tonight :( She came out pretty though. Hair like i used to draw it. Hello hair.

06. Soft sepia

Still nothing of epic proportion, but a pretty random sepia drawing...and still tiny @_@!

Took awhile to get semi decent hands. She had a different facial expression but it changed last minute so she looks like...all my pictures XD! My figures always tend to face our left. Gotta break that.

04. Axolotl

Arrived at my computer, already a bit late and had no idea what to do. This sort of drew itself after lots of ugly things (yes this is supposedly the only decent thing that came out :O!) :(. That cute blob is an Axolotl, Ambystoma mexicanum. Adorable little things.

Forgot to correct my spelling once I mangled the other Axolotl with a digital eraser. Survival of the cutest.

01. Introduction

Note à mes chers amis francophones: J'écris ce blog dans ma langue maternelle, mais s'il y a des personnes qui désirent une version française, ça me ferait plaisir de le traduire :)

A bit about myself (yes the long boring introduction).

I sign my drawings with Stephie (I'll explain Mimosa another time); a name my friends gave me way back. I've been drawing since I was little and I'm blessed to work with combining drawing (flash animation) and my love for video games. I've been a hardcore gamer, playing up the nintendo line (skipping gamecube), part of Sony and been playing MMORPGs for over 8 years. Sad I know x.o! (saying this because there'll probably be some fanart here and there).

As a very late resolution, however, I've been meaning to bring back the spark and slowly (I say slowly because I come and go as the wind) become what I've been wanting to achieve. Maybe having this blog will manage to kick me up to my wacom again and finally learn the secrets of photoshop.

What you will see will be sketches, experimentation, wobbly lines and more unfinished pictures. Reason is being I do not have a scanner yet (I have so many drawings I need to scan T_T ) and I need to practice with my intuos3 !

I was never ashamed of my art but I have always been shy to show it. So let the learning begin :D!
