41. Chibified Mimosa

So the practice continues. This time, it was just...trying to draw again. Faces have been done over and over so I guess going to comfortable territory is a good thing. I did want to go into the chibi style I semi did a long time ago. I was browsing deviantart and I stumbled upon this picture and it sort of triggered the start of my own drawing.

Turned into Mimosa, the real age she's supposed to have. Side note, I look back at this blog and there are so many pictures I'm controlling myself to not take down. Some are so horrible x_x!! ANYWAYS.

Linework will always be rough, I'm afraid. This is far from over and I do not know if I will manage to finish her (I do hope so!) The flower is unfortunately traced for now. Resized and flipped from this picture because I had done several attempts and they were really not looking like I wanted it to.

This is turning into a revamp of this previous drawing (what's up with that tentacle hair, yo).

But so far, I'm really proud of myself :)

Replugging my scanner, I went through one of my last sketchbooks, sadly containing sketches late 2008, beginning 2009. It's been awhile. Figured I'd post them here :)!

Random girl with a nice jacket :] Sadly no date as well, I'm guessing beginning 2009.

I tried revamping my little Maeva even though she looks completely different in the first picture. She has her diadem but lost her choker. To the right, she has the same kind of dress as she usually has but is sporting a rather long neck XD!

Mimosa and Lotus' (first web apparition). I don't have much on Lotus, in fact this picture was never finished. Mimosa is way older than what she's supposed to be but I like how Lotus turned out. Big ol' blob of tentacles. She's wearing her lotus flower headpiece, her flowery top and her puffy hair. ....I want a Lotus pillow :I!

10. Perfuma

Was starting to get worried if I'd be posting a picture or not, since everything I sketched up didn't satisfy me at all. Figured I could browse through my old drawings and redraw one....then I stumbled upon my She-Ra folder. Not drawings I have done, but pictures I saved from the net, from my beloved Princess of Power figurines and thought hey, why not.

So first up is Perfuma, an Etherian flower maiden who has the ability to create flowers and other plant-life at will. Will finish this when I have more time to spend on her :) !

And yes, I actually do own this one :3! I have quite a bunch but not all :( ! Great memories.

07. First WIP

My first work in progress :D !!

Spent probably close to 1h30, I know there are plenty of mistakes but OH MY GOD SKIN. I cant color skin and hair and that's the only thing colored.

Also, that type of nose never bothered me without color but once there is, it's always a pain to shade it correctly. Time to learn a new nose.

Only missing glasses :D!
