41. Chibified Mimosa

So the practice continues. This time, it was just...trying to draw again. Faces have been done over and over so I guess going to comfortable territory is a good thing. I did want to go into the chibi style I semi did a long time ago. I was browsing deviantart and I stumbled upon this picture and it sort of triggered the start of my own drawing.

Turned into Mimosa, the real age she's supposed to have. Side note, I look back at this blog and there are so many pictures I'm controlling myself to not take down. Some are so horrible x_x!! ANYWAYS.

Linework will always be rough, I'm afraid. This is far from over and I do not know if I will manage to finish her (I do hope so!) The flower is unfortunately traced for now. Resized and flipped from this picture because I had done several attempts and they were really not looking like I wanted it to.

This is turning into a revamp of this previous drawing (what's up with that tentacle hair, yo).

But so far, I'm really proud of myself :)

40. Skin practice

I have been off of work for a couple weeks now due to illness. It is quite hard to find motivation to do productive things but I do treasure the times when I actually can.

This particular time, I really wanted to practice skin shading. I have many weaknesses in digital art but this one is ranked quite high. I had found a nice picture of skin color swatches ( credit ) and took forever to do a face just to practice on xD!

This was supposed to be the end:

But I decided to improvise hair and lighten up the lines:

I couldn't be more happy :)!

08. Learning.

Gathered a few sketches I did that never made it here over the week, and some older things that I thought quite fitting (and to fill up space).

[x] Tentacle ish design that will be developed way more, even perhaps animated and future [x] tattoo design :O?!!
[x] Pink kneeling weird girl.

[x] My WoW shaman Draenei that has no clothes on, never finished and awkward pose.
[x] Self portrait random thing done in flash (bored i guess :I )
[x] Pirate girl with a very awkward pose, lots of mistakes, eventually will fix and clean, I like it a lot (cant really see her left hand boo :I )
[x] Random girl with fishbowl.

What can we learn from this ? Need more practice and more variety :D All girls, pretty much same facial expression. Now to vary.
