41. Chibified Mimosa

So the practice continues. This time, it was just...trying to draw again. Faces have been done over and over so I guess going to comfortable territory is a good thing. I did want to go into the chibi style I semi did a long time ago. I was browsing deviantart and I stumbled upon this picture and it sort of triggered the start of my own drawing.

Turned into Mimosa, the real age she's supposed to have. Side note, I look back at this blog and there are so many pictures I'm controlling myself to not take down. Some are so horrible x_x!! ANYWAYS.

Linework will always be rough, I'm afraid. This is far from over and I do not know if I will manage to finish her (I do hope so!) The flower is unfortunately traced for now. Resized and flipped from this picture because I had done several attempts and they were really not looking like I wanted it to.

This is turning into a revamp of this previous drawing (what's up with that tentacle hair, yo).

But so far, I'm really proud of myself :)

40. Skin practice

I have been off of work for a couple weeks now due to illness. It is quite hard to find motivation to do productive things but I do treasure the times when I actually can.

This particular time, I really wanted to practice skin shading. I have many weaknesses in digital art but this one is ranked quite high. I had found a nice picture of skin color swatches ( credit ) and took forever to do a face just to practice on xD!

I couldn't be more happy :)!

Redrew Mimosa yesterday and finished her today. Exactly the same as this one, different style. Only did it to try out some color. Oddly though, I still cant do her legs, so I cut them off like the last picture.

I'm only using the title really. It was supposed to be a random girl walking in the middle of the road, like a kid balancing off of railroad tracks. Turned out to be Capucine and Carbone (which you can barely see), from my movie. It was nice to see her again.

Oh dear god, a full body picture. The more I look at it, the more her legs are not long enough. Oh wells.
