My photoshop went ablaze with Mimosa everywhere, post-its at work and her face, although always changing, keeps haunting my thoughts.

If only she could reveal herself. Small because I'm not satisfied with the whole picture but still good practice. The same colors keep coming back.

22. Contest entry

I've been roaming again on gaia online. There are so many nice items I'd like for my avatar, all things way too expensive so I've been checking out some art contests for the heck of it. There is an incredible amount of very talented artists there, I doubt I'd even get a chance. After sketching digitally and getting no where, I had to whip out the old pencil.

I especially like how the hair turned out :)!

21. Windows to the stars

Drew last night, will probably end up here on my next mash up of unposted sketchs. So I drew again this evening, her whole body was sketched out without any clothes (because that's how it goes!) and I was too excited to attempt at shading the new face I have given her. Look, a real nose! :O!! .....That the rest of the body got neglected and I think this will remain a face.

Not perfect but wow, I have impressed myself. I stared in her eyes too long and here I am lost. She guides you back, no worries. I have given her her white wings, although remaining just a pale outline. They used to be white bat wings ( original item was evil wing ears) but I think they'll become bird/angel wings (well...angel wing ears D:! ). Yes I've detached myself of RO but the wings had to stay, I just forgot them in the previous drawing haha D:! And she has really long black hair, just never shown yet.

20. Sweet Nebula

High on photoshop filters, I tried this out. At first it was supposed to be Mimosa, the mermaid (her hair was greener) but then I gave her the moonie effect, which is putting stars and galaxies in her hair.

Side-note!
Moonie was my Ragnarok Online nickname and I still use it. Moonie comes from Moon Crystal, my high priestess who had captivating eyes, where the colors of her iris' would swirl from blue to green and you could see the whole universe in them. Long story short, you could probably get lost in them, for real. In the shadows of her hair, you could see the stars, moon and the rest. Quite a captivating character. I tried writing back stories, but I'm not really skilled in that domain so you aren't gettin' any ! >:D At this point, since I do not play RO anymore, I'll probably be changing her outfit (high priest design belongs to Gravity) but she'll become an original character.

Soooo, this is Moonie without her high priestess dress I suppose :D! Used a reference for the hand positions. Still I don't consider myself skilled in coloring, I'll have to study that specifically :3! I was trying out a more realistic nose.

19. Mystical tree

It's so hot :( And I think my computer desk is not big enough for what I want to do. My scanner, having a very small USB cord, is taking up a lot of extra room and having an L shaped desk sounds awesome at the moment.

When I enter out computer room, I guess the heat kind of falls on me and I don't want to do anything =/ So I got a little tiny something I managed to do.

18. Dusting off some sketchs

Replugging my scanner, I went through one of my last sketchbooks, sadly containing sketches late 2008, beginning 2009. It's been awhile. Figured I'd post them here :)!

I tried revamping my little Maeva even though she looks completely different in the first picture. She has her diadem but lost her choker. To the right, she has the same kind of dress as she usually has but is sporting a rather long neck XD!

Mimosa and Lotus' (first web apparition). I don't have much on Lotus, in fact this picture was never finished. Mimosa is way older than what she's supposed to be but I like how Lotus turned out. Big ol' blob of tentacles. She's wearing her lotus flower headpiece, her flowery top and her puffy hair. ....I want a Lotus pillow :I!

17. Maeva

It's been a long break, we've been in boxes, we still are...but in our new apartment. Still missing some furniture and other little things to finally say things are complete. Managed to plug in my scanner :D!! So maybe I can release a drawing a day or something, until we get our AC to not die in this terrible heat x.o!!

In this post , I mentionned about two of my characters. I have a few more, including original characters and video game based that I'll eventually present.

Maeva

She is the oldest of them all. I created her and her world "Cradling humanity" back in secondary 1. I created this huge world (yet empty because i never went forward with houses, furniture, creatures, towns etc) and would follow off this one party made of Adrian, Ocean, Maido (who became Raven) and Lorion. Story about the elements, good and bad, love and adventure...everything cliché and taken from my favorite stories. Figured no one would ever want to hear about it because it's just a huge repetition of what already exists. But I just wanted to make a book for myself.

The story stretched over a hundred pages, be it in tiny notebooks, plenty of big hilroy notebooks, Word pages on the old computer...that I probably lost forever. I rewrote the beginning too many times and I just decided to stop...The characters still exist in my mind and I'll probably be recycling them for my Mimosa story.

Maeva is a princess, who was one who could control all elements (sounds like avatar, n'est-ce pas? dated from secondary 1... k so she's 14 years old, dear lord x.o!), locked on an island to be protected from harm. Tragic story. She kept that dress, the chocker necklace and the diadem over the years. She went from bright red/orangy hair with a green dress to black hair and a burgundy dress. This is the first time it's puffy and braided.

Maeva, how I've missed you.

16. Blue fish

Sadly I don't have his name. Seems to be an Acanthuridae because of the thorn on it's tail. Other than that, I haven't done much research, silly me.

Didn't have much time to draw as I arrived late, yay for buying a mattress, a washer/dryer AND SCANNER!! :D for the new apartment ^o^!!

So here we have a blue fishy with a spine on it's tail. Not very visible but it's there. Whiteish marks are sort of weird, as they pop out A LOT, but I kind of like them like that XD

15. Peekablue

Double post! Random unfinished-will-probably-never-be-finished-fanart of Peekablue, second character I drew from She-Ra, princess of power series.

Her body is more long with her arms a bit...different than real arms: her shoulder and wrist. Semi-absent hips. Used to be, and still probably is, a style I'll always do.

14. Fantail goldfish

It's funny how a part of my life, I'd neglect goldfish as they are probably the most stereotypical fish to put in an aquarium (other than a poor Beta in a wineglass >.>!). But over the years, I've found myself getting attached to this variety of goldfish. The fantails (or even the veiltails) !

The more I think about it, the more I'd like to get one immortalized on my back or neck. Fish have been a major influence in my life, be it drawing or collecting statues or just gazing at the discovery channel checking out undersea life. Maybe that's why I don't like/eat fish, probably a subconscious thing.
