51. Soraka

Soraka
League of Legends character
Ref

50. Lunara

World of Warcraft hero in Heroes of the Storm.
I wanted to get into drawing them; nice way to start drawing again when you got no inspiration.

49. Mimosa

Always changing but revolving around the same design. One day, she will reveal her true self to me.

One of the few good drawings I have done when I was in California.

48. Mermay

After a long absence, dusting off the pencil again. If this continues, I'll have to plug in my scanner again ! #mermay

47. Melancholy

No photoshop, no problem. Instagrammed it.

46. Chandelier

Song of the day

Sia - Chandelier

I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier
I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist
Like it doesn't exist
I'm gonna fly like a bird through the night, feel my tears as they dry
I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier

Quick sketch so here are the Refs: girl + chandelier

No scanner, no photoshop to sharpen :[

45. Dragonling

Managed to sketch him up when I was still in the hospital. I think I will try and find a way to include him into my Mimosa and Lotus story.

First sketch of him

Second. He is slightly different than the first because I was basing myself on memory. Didn't have the first drawing next to me to have an accurate representation of him with the cookie jar. Which is quite random.

44. Sea of drawings

Healing up, taking forever so sometimes I try and draw. I have no photoshop, no scanner so quality can be soso. Let's start with those done last night.

Random girl 01, was trying out necks and hair.

Random girl 02, trying out the same thing. I find connecting the head with the neck can be quite difficult.

Aeris from Final Fantasy VII, the absolute best.

Maeva, the princess who barely changes. Done with purple col-erase pencil. I really like this one.

Woman based on another drawing on the net. Hate the feet but what can ya do. Top part is the best.

Now for older drawings. Tifa from Final Fantasy VII, even though I hate her with a passion.

Sketch of Maeva where you can see her elf ears. Same dress and circlet since 10-15 years ago.

Random girl for hair purpose

Another hair study

Another profile and hairstyle study

Mermaid because mermaids are fun.

And a col-erase girl, the first drawing I did in my new sketchbook.

43. Fantail Goldfish color study

After many many hours, this came up. I wanted to color something different than a human so this is what I chose. One of my favorite fish.

I defined his face more on accident but now he looks like a character! The fins and tail had many issues. Because of the unclear ref and transparency so I had to try and do something decent with what I had.

Overall, I'm super proud! :D!!

42. Portrait

Always small. I'll never learn xD!! Color practice again

41. Chibified Mimosa

So the practice continues. This time, it was just...trying to draw again. Faces have been done over and over so I guess going to comfortable territory is a good thing. I did want to go into the chibi style I semi did a long time ago. I was browsing deviantart and I stumbled upon this picture and it sort of triggered the start of my own drawing.

Turned into Mimosa, the real age she's supposed to have. Side note, I look back at this blog and there are so many pictures I'm controlling myself to not take down. Some are so horrible x_x!! ANYWAYS.

Linework will always be rough, I'm afraid. This is far from over and I do not know if I will manage to finish her (I do hope so!) The flower is unfortunately traced for now. Resized and flipped from this picture because I had done several attempts and they were really not looking like I wanted it to.

This is turning into a revamp of this previous drawing (what's up with that tentacle hair, yo).

But so far, I'm really proud of myself :)

40. Skin practice

I have been off of work for a couple weeks now due to illness. It is quite hard to find motivation to do productive things but I do treasure the times when I actually can.

This particular time, I really wanted to practice skin shading. I have many weaknesses in digital art but this one is ranked quite high. I had found a nice picture of skin color swatches ( credit ) and took forever to do a face just to practice on xD!

This was supposed to be the end:

But I decided to improvise hair and lighten up the lines:

I couldn't be more happy :)!

39. Post-it art

So I have been slowly starting to draw again.

First one is Aeris, my favorite final fantasy character and probably video game character of all times :)

Second one is of a fish.

38. Lance

A friend's fish hurt himself :<! But he is now okay!

36. Color test

Redrew Mimosa yesterday and finished her today. Exactly the same as this one, different style. Only did it to try out some color. Oddly though, I still cant do her legs, so I cut them off like the last picture.

35. Double Yellow lines

Song of the day

 Sirah - Double Yellow Lines

Best friends for the road to hang amongst these stars,

this life is the best but to be the best is hard,

I'm only using the title really. It was supposed to be a random girl walking in the middle of the road, like a kid balancing off of railroad tracks. Turned out to be Capucine and Carbone (which you can barely see), from my movie. It was nice to see her again.

Oh dear god, a full body picture. The more I look at it, the more her legs are not long enough. Oh wells.

34. Where is my mind.

 Song of the day

Yoav & Emily Browning - Where is my mind

Way out in the water

I see it swimming

Where is my mind

She wasn't supposed to end up being so sad. But it happened.

33. More fish

5 min sketchs based on references.

32. Little tree

Something different.

31. Cracks

Song of the day

Freestylers - Cracks (flux pavilon remix)

Leave the past behind
Just walk away
When it's over
And my heart breaks
And the cracks begin to show
To show, to show, to show, to show
